IN MEMORY OF KEITH HILL

Keith Hill was a very funny man who always had a joke to cheer you up if you were feeling down and out. He was always in a good mood no matter the circumstance. I can remember being a little kid and never wanting to leave his house because I was constantly laughing and having fun around him. Anyone who has ever met him would probably feel the same way.

Keith was definately a people person and a big family man. He loved his wife, Diane very much and they were married for forty years. My little sister and I could not have asked for a better person to look up to and go to for advice. He was a great father, brother, uncle, and husand. He loved little children and couldn't resist teasing them about small things when they came into the shop. As a matter of fact he just liked to tease anyone around him. He meant absolutly no harm by it though. It was all in good fun and usually after he joked around with you for a little bit he would do whatever you asked him to do and most of the time even more. He would bend over backwards for people.
He also loved his business. He would work night and day doing whatever it took to get the job done and satisfy his customers. He always did quality work and made it right no matter what. His motto, like many, was "the customer is always right." He stood behind that and he was a very honest man. He always told me that "if it isn't broke, then don't fix it." He was very dedicated to his work. In thrty-two years of business he only took one vacation. He said " if I'm not at my business, then my business can't run." He is absolutly right too.

In 2006 he was diagnosed with Barrett's Disease which is caused from acid reflex. Only three to five percent of people who are diagnosed with Barrett's Disease get cancer from it. Keith unfortunately found himself in this small percentage. He fought cancer for four months before he passed away on March 8, 2007. He is dearly missed by myself, my family, and many friends.

He was my grandpa and meant the world to me and I could go on and on and on. He taught me things about work as well as life. Hopefully I can keep a little bit of my grandpa alive through myself.
